Rock Island Armory supply drying up?

    Just in case you wanted an RIA 1911, you may want to check out the link below. It seems that the importer is having problems of some kind. Granted, they aren't the best 1911s on the market, but they do fill a niche, especially if someone wants an affordable 1911 for a plinking/fun gun.

    Don't know how likely I'd be to buy one or recommend one, but my local shop had two in stock last time I was there. I must say I was impressed by the slide to frame fit. Not that it counts for a whole lot but it was better than most of the recent Colts and Springfields I've handled lately.
