Maybe making it more crowded but for anybody local to Boulder, County and who shoots in Roosevelt NF..
There's has been a fire ban but NOT shooting ban in Roosevelt NF...for manning, not conditions. For all counties BUT Boulder County, which had a shooting ban...BUT that has been amended yesterday so still 'fire ban' but no more shooting ban..for those who go to that range above Lyons..just for info..

Thank you! Is that up lefthand canyon?
NO, that one remains closed because a LOT of knuckleheads took all sorts of junk up there to shoot, then left it there..TVs, batteries(huh?), propane tanks..

This one about a mile south of the hwy 7 and hwy 72(Peak TO Peak) intersection above Lyons

Went yesterday with 2 sons..GREAT fun..we all had new guns thanks to trumpbux..
Mossberg MVP(mine)
Ruger PC-9 youngest(40yo) son
Ruger New Vaquero oldest(42yo) son..got rained on but like my grand daughter says, 'it's just water'....

AND gonna go today in about 30 minutes with youngest son.
"Make hay while the sun shines"..because if it stays dry, the fire ban will turn into a shooting ban. Right now it's a 'fire ban' only because of manning effected by the COVID gig...

Good to see this, even though I am not in CO. We may travel that way, in a month or so. The nearest NFs, to us, in Texas, do not seem to allow shooting, except for hunting. I reckon, being so close to Houston and DFW, there are simply too many people to allow unregulated shooting in the NFs, as they would become National Weedlots.
