My neighbor won a NIB Rossi .223 Single Shot in some sort of drawing/competition, and doesn't want it, and is looking to sell it for a fair price. Of course I am interested, budget varmint and target gun for roughly $200 sounds like a good Christmas present for myself. Any thoughts? Is this is good gun, accurate and reliable?

Oh and Merry Christmas! Best day of the year.

Another Edit: One of my gifts from my father was an all expenses paid day at the range renting whatever I wanted to shoot and browsing the shop there. If I'm lucky we might even bring along my Cousin in law on leave from the Navy or my Uncle who is looking to get into a handgun. Also got a load of random stuff from the online surplus store, unfortunately the "delivery by Christmas" for $7 didn't come through, oh well.

I just got a used budget .243 for the same price and reason, and I'm pretty happy with the pickup.

    Do it!
