'Anyone had any experience with these? Academy, a local sporting-goods store has them in .223 Rem/.20 ga. combo (switch-barrel) for $179.00.....significantly less expensive than a $400.00 Rem. or Savage. Is the Rossi any good or is it a case of "you get what your pay for" scenario? Your comments and experiences are appreciated.

My dad has a Rossi "matched pair" in .22 and 20gauge. The concept is nice, but the execution is sorta off. Count on getting a scope, as the sights on his seemed to suck. Until he gets his scoped, the jury is still out on accuracy. The 20 gauge barrel works fine, but kicks a bit.
Given the reputation of the Savage over and under for less than stellar rifle accuracy, I'd pass on the combo guns.
