I had the pleasure of meeting Roy Jinks, S&W Historian this past weekend at the Ware Gunshop, Ware, MA. He's a very pleasant individual, very easy to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable about S&W firearms (no kidding!).

I brought my 1907 (according to Supica and Nahas) .32 Safety Hammerless and Mr. Jinks estimated it to be about a 1905 model, just off the top of his head by looking at the serial number!

He estimated my M1917 .45ACP DA Revolver to be late 1918. Might just be a WWI vet.

If you have the chance to meet him I heartily recommend that you do.
