Being America's most popular .22lr rifle and the zillion different ways you can configure a 10/22, I thought a 10/22 specific picture thread could be interesting. I'm starting to jones for a new 10/22 and could use some inspiration anyway, might go out and grab another soon.

I have had a couple different models and wish I'd kept them all but my favorite so far has just been the plain jane stainless. I don't believe it is the all weather however, as I have seen some stainless models with stainless trigger guard and stainless barrel band and the old boat paddle style stock. Boy how I would love one of those. Mine is just a stainless and have been using it for about a decade. Like that fancy paint job? Fixed 4X Sears and Roebuck scope. Ain't pretty but it shoots well and it was a gift from my wife so I'll always love it. Quite a few kids have learned on this gun and my wife and daughter love shootin it.

Feel free to share pics, add specs, info, etc....

I had this one:

turned it into this one:

for my older son, who at the time wanted to be in the Army when he was old enough, and I couldn't afford a .22 AR. (or .223 one, at the time)

I guess he liked it, this is a very rare smile:

It's his now, he still uses it for squirrels and raccoons and an all around plinker. This was a while ago, he's 28 now. And he decided not to join the Army; told ya he was smarter than his old man. ;)

My pretty much box stock, with the exception of the scope and the sling swivels, 10/22 purchased new back in 1978. First time out I knew I had found one very accurate gun, even with the factory rear sight and that brass bead front sight. Decided it could use a low power scope to take advantage of it's accuracy potential and mounted a Weaver K2.5 on it. Been shooting out the center of targets ever since!

Every year when Black Friday rolls around there are deals. My carbine pictured above was $169.97 on a BF sale as Field & Stream matched Cabelas price.

They may not go that low this year but well under the current $320ish I’ve been seeing. Add in sales from the likes of KIDD and other aftermarket suppliers and you could have a well tuned 10/22 for the current price of a stock offering.

Love the International model! That full length stock goes well with the streamlined shape of the 10/22's receiver.
Thanks, I must say that Rugers take on the Mannlicher style rifles all look really good to me too. I have a M/77 RSI in .243 that really tripped my switch when I saw it… and the guys with the No. 1 RSI rifles make me a bit jealous ;).

Stay safe.

Yep, I love that full length stock, very elegant and clean looking. I wish I bought one years ago. They didn't really appeal to me in my 20's, I liked long mags and synthetic....

Got a stainless all weather one in 2019 after not having one for 55 years. Then a 85' fell into my lap and lets just say there's some transitioning going on. Upgrading one, swapping the parts to the old one, with a camo job in the works. Just putzing around.

Mine is a lowly WesternField labeled, made by Mossberg though. By the time I discovered the Mossy goodness word was out and prices was up up up.

So is mine. My LGS has a Mossberg 44 with a 6X scope on it for $400. I might pick it up if I run into some spare $$-It's not going anywhere, been there for at least 3 years.

This is my Western Field 9M-497A, which has a 6x Weaver on it. I also have a 4X Weaver for it.

OK, back to 10/22's!

Picked up this circa 1987 production example around 1998, in mint original condition. Only thing changed is what you see; a Weaver rail on the receiver and a BSA 2-7X scope. Decided not to drop tons of money on it because I had too many other projects and expenses. Kind of glad I left it intact except for optics. It's a nice little plinker & small game gun as is. If that el-cheapo scope ever dies I'll put something better on it but for now it suits me just fine for what I do with it. IMG_1862.JPG ..

My only one. Scoped package 1999 with a a couple of add ons that I thought were cool back in the day.

I have always wanted one of the Internationals but considering how inaccurate the two regular ones I own were out of the box I have never convinced myself to take a chance with the pretty one.

I'll play!
