Okay, I'm an idiot. I collect old 3 screw super blackhawks and have a decent number of them in really nice shape. I recently found one on gunbroker with a 4 digit serial number from 1961 and it looked clean - not immaculate, but it's old and was a cleaner example.

The auction expired and I hit the seller up offline and he agreed to let it go for what seemed like a high, but reasonable amount. I inspected it at my FFL and it seemed good. I waited my 10 days California demanded and picked it up today. It was only when I was moving it to my safe that I first noticed something when I cocked it - it was missing the 1st click of the 3 clicks. My heart sank as I looked to verify my suspicions. There it was: the transfer bar. The #&*^@%!& transfer bar.

I "inspected" it, I accepted it, I took possession of it. I own it and every bit of it's neutered glory. Now, I plan on reaching out to the seller to see if he has the parts so I can convert it back, but I'm assuming the worst there.

My question to you fine folks is what are my options? Are there parts kits to reverse the change? Is there anyone who can revert it? I'm quite certain the collection value is shot at this point, so any changes would be just for my liking and not for preservation - unless that's still an option?

Please don't roast me. I'm sore enough about this as is. Any helpful insights are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Oh Dude, that sucks! I fell in love with the old style action. I love the 4 click action also. The one I have is smooth as glass and has a trigger to die for.
