My RPR came with a brake and no thread protector. That made using a suppressor a PITA because the only thing I had to protect the threads was the brake. It got to the point that I didn’t shoot with the suppressor.
I tried to get one from Ruger, but they don’t list one for the RPR with my serial number and suggested I look to the aftermarket.
There are hundreds of options, but it took me a little looking to find a thread protector that fit properly. This is from Down Range and cost the princely sum of $12.99. It’s just slightly longer than the threads so it protects the crown a little. The only issue is the finish. I’m thinking of using a flat header paint to get a closer match.
