Now if you don't want to go this way! Go to "Midway's" get a 'Wolf' Spring kit or two. There will be 3 springs in a kit.
Disassemble; and clean all parts with your favorite soap and water
Dry with a hair dryer or something; sooner than later.
Lay all parts in there proper orientation.
Get some 1000 grit wet and dry sandpaper [auto paint and body]
Place sandpaper on FLAT surface and commence.
Remove any and all rough surfaces, [polish]
Wash and Clean
Lightly oil and re-assembly
Touching up the Sear or facing parts? Can, and has been done by first timers, but limit this to your confidence level.
