I was recommended a Ruger revolver in .22 LR. Does anybody know if Ruger used to make a .22 LR double action revolver? I can not find anything on the internet, so I was hoping that somebody had heard of it. Thanks.

SP-101 in 22 LR but you'll have to find it used. They're out of production. :(

I went to the online catalog and did not see it listed. Fishslayer, I hope you're right and I'm wrong. The world will be a happier place.

They're in production, official announcement still pending.

Most gun companies are starting to understand that the need for a good .22 pistol in their line up is important. Alot of people like the low cost and minimal recoil of .22lr and are buying the crap out of .22 pistols and rifles.

I wonder if the marketing boys at Ruger are with holding the SP101-22 for a while so the one gun doesn't steal the thunder from the other. Or vice versa. Having TWO new products at the same time definetly dilutes the market and neither gets the full focus it deserves. I wouldn't be surprised to see the SP101-22, or whatever the official tag for it turns out to be, held until near Christmas.

Ruger is making a 10-shot Single-Six. Haven't seen one yet, though.

A 10-shot "Cowboy Revolver" (Single-Action) seems a bit odd to me, but whatever spins your fan . . .

Would like to see Ruger bring back the .22LR in the SP-101 series. Got to shoot one of those once..like it a lot

A ten shot single "six" would make the cowboy shooters able to shoot as many times as the movie boys did without reloading. We've gotten info at the shop about these "single tens" but have seen none. Have only had one Ruger 1911 come through..about as scarce as Kimber Solos.

Seriously, Ruger is bringing out the SP101 in an eight shot version...they did make it in six shot years ago along with 22mag and 32 H&R Mag. Also a few in 9mm, I believe.

I have to say I like those grips on the new 8-shot SP-101 in 22LR. Years ago they didn't do much for me in the looks department with the GP-100, but they sure feel good in the hand.

So, Mauser Lover, the new SP-101 in 22 is on the way, just has not been officially announced by Ruger or hit the shelves. From what DPris says, I don't think you will be displeased overall with the new one. I did not like the discontinued one at all and passed buying one numerous times at stores and shows. DPris has a sample for testing/evaluation I assume for an upcoming article in one of the magazines.

Ok, thanks, I will keep my eyes open for one of those new ones, and quit looking for a old double action Ruger revolver that apparently does not exist....

Does anybody know how to make a thread disappear, meaning delete it?

You ask a question, you get answers, and you want to delete the thread?
Ruger used to make a DA .22 revolver.
They're making a new version.
They're making a 10-shot SA revolver.
Why delete?
