Afternoon all. I happen to love the 357 magnum round hence I own 3 firearms in this caliber. My first was a S&W 686 and I loved it, but after a few hundred rounds, things just got very loose. Had to tighten the extractor rod about every trip to the range. There were other issues and that surprised me. I found a Ruger GP-100 6 inch and had to try it. Right from the start it felt like a tank of a gun and I liked that. Very heavy weapon though!!! Well, I bought a Holosun Red dot. This model has the solar panel, dot and reticle sight. OMG, this improved my accuracy over the Smith (Also had a red dot) and I have yet to have any issues with things loosening up. Has anyone out there put red dots on their revolvers? Love to hear your assessments/opinions and what dots you chose.... Thanks all, hope everyone has a blessed day....

Good evening. I’m glad you’ve found joy with the GP100… it’s an excellent firearm. Accurate as you are, robust, reliable; capable.

Mods/admin, if you could move this to the correct sub-forum please ? It’d get better views there

You can’t post something like this without PICTURES………!!!!!!!

I have 2 GP100s, both 6" are awesome! One has factory sights and the other has a Weigatinny mount with a Romeo 5. Old eyes love the Romeo 5. I can play a tune on a 6" steel @ 70 yds. Not bad for my 28,500+ earth rotations😁
