Both My revolvers have red dots. GP100 6 inch and a S&W 648 6 inch. Awesome results with both...

All of my handguns have red dots.... Love em...Here is my GP-100

I have them on my S&W 686 357 ( Vortex Venom) and on my S&W 629 Power port 44 magnum ( Vortex Viper) I like them very much . Just don’t do like I did and not keep a spare battery in your range bag. I got my mounts from TK Custom if I wasn’t out of town I would have attached pictures.

Cant go wrong, however, make sure you put some thread lock on the mounting screws. I didnt first time around and after about 25 rounds, my 357 definately loosened the screws...

Very good guns, the GP 100 series is. Robust, easy to service, lots of options for grips, sights, etc.



Of the two I own, I prefer the trigger action of the 5-shot .44 Spl. over the 6-shot .357 version. (It’s just smoother, maybe the limited rotation of the cylinder helps?)

My first GP100 4" which was my first revolver purchase and the last GP I bought in 3" 357(both blued). Had a 5" but traded it away.

I sold it but I had this 629 with a dot on it. I did not shoot it any better offhand, but from a rest I could shoot a 8" plate at 100 yards all day.

Picked up a Match Champion, really no different than a regular GP. but put a dot on it too. Bottom GP 1988, top GP 2023.
