I like my LCP but I love my Kahr CW9 and CW45. I think I will wait for the CM9. I prefer simplicity (no manual safeties) in my carry guns.

Hi guys.

I Have a LC9 on back order. Hope it gets here soon.

Know that I don't know where to exactly post this,
as I though there was a holster sub-forum.

I hope to see them offer a Slide Guard and black Pocket Grabber in the near future.

Their LCR holsters that I reviewed a while back are superb.

Nice review, I was thinking of getting one myself. I had an LCP but I traded it towards a Bodyguard 380 and that didn't last...turns out that little laser didn't make up for the trigger pull haha but my concern is the amount of recoil. Is it bad? The LCP had wicked recoil for a small round.

The mag disconnect on my SR9c was very easily removed, but it appears the disconnect on the LC9 works differently and might not be as easy to get rid of? Has anyone removed it yet?

Not sure I like the disassembly so much, pulling the takedown pin with the slide at full lock like the SR9 and PF9 is a bit more convenient.

Glad Ruger has this size gun out, but I'm really happy with my PF9 and like the looks of the Kel Tec better.

Until I actually spend it, it's a moot point, of course, but as of right now, this is a front-runner for the spending of my current (paltry) new-toy kitty. I'd even have enough left for a holster and a box of ammo ;) Have fired just a round or two (time was short, and my friend was low on ammo at the time) from an LCP, and found it fairly grippable but a bit kicky -- this one has more to wrap one's hands around, so I'm hoping perceived recoil will be no worse, despite the larger caliber.

The small, non-stratospheric-price recent 9mms (Ruger, Kimber, Kahr) are my favorite news from this year's SHOT.

Latest round count. Over 700.

Today I shot 50 rounds at 52 yards. Only missed the 24 inch steel plate once.:)
Decent sights do make a difference when shooting at a little distance.

I was going to quit but the gun is so much fun to shoot I blasted another 49 rounds at 10-7 yards.

I'm still coming up with different rounds to shoot in the gun. At least I'm getting rid of some of the odds and ends ammo I've got around.
CorBon functioned OK, as did a 110 grain semi jacket big lead nose HP reload.

Not sure I like the disassembly so much, pulling the takedown pin with the slide at full lock like the SR9 and PF9 is a bit more convenient.
I just turn the gun on it's side and move the slide back and forward a little and the pin drops out.

but my concern is the amount of recoil. Is it bad?
It's not bad. Because of the bigger grip of the LC9, the recoil isn't as bad as the LCP.
But I will say that after shooting the gun 10 days straight my right wrist is a little sore, but I'm 73 years old to. Heck a lot of things are sore.:)
