I have just purchased my first pistol and decided on a Ruger LCP. I hope I haven't made a bad chose because I have shot approx. 150 rounds thru it and 1 out of six shots got stuck when ejecting. I have tested five different brands of factory ammunition to determine if it was the ammo or the gun. So far it looks like there may be a problem with the gun.
Is there anyone that has bought one of these guns having the same problems? Please help.

No offense... but I would suggest you work on your grip.. those sort of guns succumb to limp wristing rather easily do to their small size and the considerable recoil of the round in such a small and lightweight gun...

I only say that because the malfunctions are not feeding related and are unaffected by the changes in ammunition... grip makes a big difference in a semi-auto... the downfall of the MIGHTY GLOCK

Yes work on your grip. I had the same problem just a few weeks ago with the LCP. Get pierce entensions and that will help. Could add a grip cover too.

I am not having any trouble anymore.

Also, I had more trouble with aluminum blazers.

If you put 200+ rounds through it, have a good solid grip, go over the elsiepeaforum.com and discuss it there. There are recommnedations on polishing the feed ramp and a spring change.

Thanks for the ideas. I think you might be on to something. A guy at the gun range also said the same thing. This little gun does have a heck of a kick to it.
Thanks Again

I had feed problems with mine but they seem to have resolved themselves with use and ammo selection. I'm still having some problems with hollow points though. I don't have enough rounds through it to even consider it broken in yet...

As for getting ammo...up here in NH I've been able to find a bunch of .380 recently. Seems to be coming back in stock.
