Ruger Mini 14 Tactical Review

I have a mini 6.8 with the full ASI treatment. Its a shooter. I would post a picture, but I have figured out how to upload one. Seems to be gone.

Owned a Mini-14 in the early '90s, and a Mini-30 (7.62x39) in the mid-2000s and couldn't feed and fire 30-rd. clips on semi-auto fast enough without a jam or misfire; which, curious as I am, was my sole intention in pulling my index as fast as humanly possible. Some people (I know not you folks) are under the impression that Rugers are so-so, kinda middle-of-the-road guns for those on a tight budget. I'm not one of them.

I have never shot the 30 rounders. I know my minis like the 5, 10, and 20 round magazines. The 30's protrude way to much for me, I like the 5 and 10 round mags for hunting. It makes it easy to carry in thick woods, and when I have it slung, I'm not being stabbed in the back:)

I have an older Mini 14 and it does just about everything I need for a fun gun. Accuracy is good enough. I never expected 0.5" groups at 100 yds.
