Just got my MKII back together after a trip to Jim at JP Grips and Machine.

Jim did an excellent job on my barrel!

    He did the following:
    Shorten to 4 1/2”
Thread & crown and make thread protector
    Set the front sight back
Remove the warning on the barrel
Drilled & tapped for mount and installed mount

    Here’s a few pictures

That's beautiful and the work looks top notch. Thread protector blends amazingly well. Looks like a fun way to use up some 22LR.

Gorgeous, best looking Ruger I have seen in a long time.. Be proud of that one. I love how seamless the thread protector is...

Great work on the barrel. I just saw a MKII at my local Cabela's that was wanting treatment like that. Hmmmmmm

I'd think the guy who could turn the barrel would also be able to shorten the sight rail???? ;)

Threads like this make me wish my FLGS would get in some Mk III Competitions. I've wanted a bull barrel Mk II/III for a while now butt they are somewhat hard to find.
