My brother was making the same decision a few months ago. He went with the SR9, and I don't blame him. It is a much nicer gun (in terms of fit and finish) and the ergonomics are much, much better.
The P95 just seemed very crude. The magazines looked like they were welded together by a high school student, the slide had tool marks all over it, and the polymer frame's texture just seemed poorly thought out.
The SR9, on the other hand, just feels right (no match for a Walther P99, but it is about $200 less). The trigger is pretty good - not super, but better than a Glock. The standard sights are GREAT, and it is a VERY accurate pistol.
