Ruger Precision Rifle

That’s a notable bump in the RPR MSRP. Either $300 or $400 increase over last I looked (can’t recall if MSRP was $1800 or $1899), which was only a few weeks ago.

Terrible value for the money at $2200 MSRP, and the “custom shop” version at $2800 is shameful. Even knowing the street price will be ~$1800, this is a terrible value in firearm performance.

Phil Cashin at Masterpiece Arms keeps his PMR BA model at $2300 - better action, better chassis, better trigger, better barrel… incredibly better value than the Ruger Precision Rifle.

I’ve generally been a fan of the RPR and readily acknowledge that they shoot small, for a big brand factory rifle, but this price point is shameful for Ruger.

Something of note: a Ruger Pro shooter and one of their ad reps told me 2 years ago that Ruger had already by then sold over a million RPR’s… think about that…over a billion dollars in gross revenue on the RPR line alone. I’m glad for them, but this price point relative to the market and to their performance value is shameful.

Hard to find a better value than the PMR BA, and I agree Ruger's MSRP is shameful. But I suspect it will sell well, once the street price settles in. It's Ruger and they're everywhere.
