Anyone else have or carry one. I picked one up and while it is heavy, it is ideal for +p ammo. I am interested in anyone that is carrying one and just how they carry it. My preferred method of j-frame carry is an ankle holster. I don't meet to many people that actually carry a SP101 much less in an ankle holster.

Have carried one in an uncle mikes ankle holster, various belt holsters and pockets.

those velocities are crazy! I carry the Speer GDHP 135gr +p in all my wheel guns
except my Colt DS, which has the 158gr +p led hollow points.

Anyone ever replaced their front sight? I thought about an Ashley Express tritium to replace the stock sight. It seemed like an inexpensive way to dress up a nice CCW gun.

the 180 grain load is somewhat painful. The others are controllable.

I put a Trijicon on mine but it's very small. The Ashley may be quicker to pick up in low light.

SP101 2 1/4" DAO (spurless)

IWB when I go into town and in my front jeans pocket when roaming around my woods.
BTW, if the factory grips are too small for a good grasp, I reccomend Trausch Grips (no detrimental effect on concealablity and not "sticky" like Hogues).

Another front sight that comes highly recommended is a Small Wonder from Gemini Custom.
Any URL or other company info? All I could find by Googling were threads here and in other forums.
Thanks.

SP101

I have the 2" DAO mdl. I have never shot it with anything but fullhouse 357 ammo. I like the stock grips and have carried it in pockets of my Jeans and IWB. I installed the Trijicon Night Sight. This is one of 3 357 snubs that I alternate carrying. My carry ammo is Corbon 125grn. 357JHP.

I have both a 2" & 3" and carry them both in a Tucker Heritage IWB. I tried ankle carry but found it to be uncomfortable and slower on the draw compared to IWB.

I also carry them OWB from time to time in a Don Hume 721 OT

I haven't really carried mine yet, mostly becasue it is so heavy and I don't really have any leather gear for it. It has been to the range several times and I keep picking up pairs of Eagle Secret Service grips for it. When I finally get around to it, I will probably get an IWB for it.
