Ruger SR 1911 Test

I shot my SR1911 for the first time.50 rds of WW box 230grn ball. 50 rds of Speer semi wadcutters and 26rds of various JHP...126 rds total.No malfunctions at all.
I also used different magazines to see if it might have any effect on reliability.
I had 2 Springfield Armory mags,2 Wilson, and the 2 Ruger mags.
I was very pleased with this pistol.Ruger got it right.
The target was at 7yds.

If it feeds SWCs - a bullet that gives many 1911s problems - it should have no problem with defensive JHPs.

By the absence of such comments, I take it there were no fit and finish issues.

Semi wadcutters to me are the ultimate test for a 1911 pistol. If it will function with those it will shoot any JHP.
