I posted in the general section but thought I might get a few more replies here. Looking for one of these limited production revolvers, very hard to find.

Any tips on locating a willing seller?

Check out Bear Mountain Sports in Mesa, AZ. A few weeks ago, they hod one. I almost bought it:D but went for a 5.5" Redhawk in.44.

Are you looking for the Hunter model that was a limited run? They were made with the Bisley grip frame and the regular blackhawk grip frame.
I saw a non-bisley .45 Colt Hunter model in Cheaper Than Dirt a few days ago in Ft. Worth.

There are two kinds, The 5.5 inch barrel is called the accusport bisley the 7.5 is called the bisley hunter. Search for both on gunbroker.com and gunsamerica.com Good luck

The hunter is beautiful, but I am specifically interested in the 5.5 inch limited edition that was produced for Accusport in 2003 (?).

My primary interest isn't hunting so much as it is field carry with the ability to handle the highest pressure 45LC loads, with the Bisley grip to help with recoil management.

If anyone has any other suggestions regarding other models that might accomplish the same thing, I'm all ears.

The Accusport one would look like this:

They do appear occaionally on Gunbroker but even used they'll fetch upwards of $500 with most recent ones going for between $550 to a bit over $600 depending on the model (chambering). there were actually two different runs of them in 45 Colt (41 also) with the later runs having a different padlock. there IS to be a second run of the 45 colnvertable models coming up, possibly by year end. Have a dealer in your area that deals a lot with Acusport get on the list with them.
