I just received an email from Ruger asking various questions in a survey. One of the questions was what 5 products would you like to see from Ruger.

    I listed:
    SR-45
    Ruger American in 6.5x55
More single action hunter models... preferably a blued one for us thrifty folk. Or maybe a matte stainless model. Not crazy about the satin stainless finish.

I'm curious if anyone else completed this survey, and what you listed as "wants"? Or... if you haven't completed the survey, maybe just fill out your top 5 as if you had.

I should be a registered Ruger owner but did not receive one. If I had I would have said:

Bring back the Camp Carbine with variations designed to take some of the more popular handgun magazines like Ruger SR series, Springfield, 1911, Sig, etc.

    Increase production of the SR1911.

Redesign the LCP with a last round slide lockback feature.

That's my short list for Ruger.

You mean the PC carbines, or something else? I forgot about those... should've added that to my list as well.

They may not have sent it to everyone who was registered. I'm curious if I can share the link in the email, but am nervous about posting it here since there is no indication that I can.

I have had two Rugers (still have one-- my ccw is an SR9c), and I didn't get that email. BOOOOOOO.

    uhm...

I think I would have said SR45 + SR45c. With as soft shooting as the SR9c is, I imagine the 45 version would gobble up recoil very nicely.

I just finished the survey. My only wish would be for a .45 acp smaller than the P345. It is concealable but not as much as the new Springfield XDs.

    Carbines!

I say the carbines in 9 and .40. They would sell like mad because the m1 carbine surplus is all but gone plus the cost of ammo. In addition these rifles are based on the 10/22 platform which is loved by many and reliable.

The carbines are a no-brainer, that's why I brought them up. A simple redesign to accept modern and common pistol magazines and they would be an overnight hit. They already have a proven design and patents. Just tool up and start churning them out! If start up costs are an issue design an LED flashlight into the front of the stock under the barrel and use recycled polymer stocks and call them "Green" and you could get millions of dollars in stimulous funds. :D

GP-100 in 22 rimfire for cheap practice. The cylinder should be lightened so the gun weighs and handles as much like the .357 GP as possible.

    5-Shot 7.5" Ruger 480 Super Redhawk

    Security six in 22 rimfire.

Adjustable sight .357 Mag SP101 in a barrel shorter than the current 4.2", say 3" or 2.75" or so.

Struggling to come up with five, but here's three that would interest me:

    SR1911 Commander in .38 Super
    No.1 Light Sporter in 7x57
    10/22 in .22 WMR

Bring back the SP101 in 9mm. I like the idea of a SR 10mm.

I want a vaquero that the trigger guard sits flush with the frame on both sides. Bring back the Old Army and the security six. X2 on a 10/22 chambered in 22 WMR. How about a convertable SR1911 in 38 super and 9mm.

I would buy a No. 1 chambered in 22 LR in a nanosecond!

Also bring back the Model 44 aka Deerstalker. I'd buy that one a couple of nanoseconds later.

I like Ruger products. For me, it would be

    1. A pump action shotgun
    2. A lever action rifle in 30-30 and 22lr
    3. A mini-30 like the NRA ila model mini14 they did a few years ago.
    4. Bring back the Ruger Frontier or at least offer the option to mount a forward scope on your compact, lightweight bolt action model. I like the scout concept but don't want a detachable magazine.
    5. Your single shot rifle in 22 LR.

I'll agree on the adj. sights on the SP 101 3" lost sheep! Mine is okay in the accuracy dept., but adj. sights would be the creme de la creme!
