Ruger Vaquero Throat Job

I picked up a like new Ruger Vaquero in 45 colt, with a 5.5" barrel, for $400.00 a few weeks ago. I already have a New Vaquero in the same caliber, with the same length barrel, but I couldn't resist the older version when I saw it. It shoot fairly well, but not as accurate as the NV. I want to have the cylinder throats checked out (the gun is tight, timing great, and trigger fairly crisp). What should I expect to spend on having the cylinder reamed out, provided it needs it? I like the feel of the NV, better, but the OMV certainly feels more rugged, and I like the idea of having a reliable, accurate, bang-around SA for the woods. While I'm thinking of it, though, I was looking for a used NV, or OMV in 357 cal. with a 4-5/8 or 5-1/2" barrel, but got sidetracked when I saw the OMV 45 sitting there. How does the NV handle in these barrel lengths in 357.? I've heard that the OMV in 357 is just to heavy to be handy. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

Thanks for the link. I don't have the proper tools, but I'll get the throats checked locally, and sent the cylinder out if needed. I appreciate the info.

FWIW. I had a troublesome (accuracy) Ruger revolver with constricted forcing cone under the treading. After some aggressive fire lapping followed by extensive polishing the revolver shot great.
