no one has any available info to share
    maybe everyone's too busy
or I'm the only one (so far) on this board that owns one ;)
didn't think the rifle is/was that rare

I wish I could help you! I've been looking for an SVT 40 myself, but haven't had any luck. They are a great shooter - hope you enjoy your new toy!

I've got .303 semi. I just found out that it is an SVT 40 Tokarev rechambered for .303 and it shoots great. Here are a few pics

Skandic, you've got a Globe 555 Mohawk, an SVT-40 that was reworked by Globe Firearms into a 303 sporter. I liike the SVT, and enjoy shooting mine, but the Russians apparently had some functioning problems with them during cold weather. They also made a full-auto variant, the AVT-40 (a 10-round full-auto; WHY?), that can be recognized by a 4-slot muzzle-brake, a Cyrillic "A" on the stock, and a 3-position safety (one side is semi, the middle is safe, the other side is full).

Hi guys, I have received several replies on my reworked SVT 40.THANKS A BUNCH. I had never seen or heard of these before and now I own one. Would anyone know what this rifle might be worth on the market? In case I ever decide to replace it with something else. I have a Remington 7600 in 30-06 and my wife has the 760 in 30-06. We both hunt moose, deer and caribou. Here are a few pics.
