I'm sure I already know the answer, but does anyone have a clue where I could find an MP 412 Rex?

It's a shame that this gun never made it to the market. A strong top break .357 could have been a great range gun for a lot of us. It just looks too large and heavy from what I see in those links to be useable for carry though.

If the Wiki entry is correct and there were only a few prototypes made then I suspect that you'd need to have a relative working at IZHMECH to even be able to see and touch one. So your answer would seem to be the obvious one.

Sure do wish Norinco would pick this up. It would sell just on "cool factor" alone. I like it for defense purposes. I have always liked DA revolvers best and this is something different.

Chiappa tried out "cool" with their Rhino lineup. And so far I don't see much in the way of market acceptance. Granted the gun itself has some mechanical issues due to the action linkage but most folks take one look at it and turn away on looks alone.

So I would not bet your hopes on Norinco or anyone else picking up this top break design any time soon.
