Hello. I'm interested in selling an S&W revolver that I have. It's a snubnose 19-4 with pinned barrel and recessed cylinder. I'm just not sure what to post it for price-wise.

    Any opinions?

She's wearing Ahrends grips made of Moradillo right now, but I do have some brand new S&W factory grips (new grips, not the original for the 19-4), as well as a Tyler T-Grip (in excellent/like new condition). I also have the Pachmayr Decelerator grips that it was wearing when I bought it. Those grips were in good shape, but decided I wanted a set of wood grips.

I guess whatever amount I can expect to possibly get for it will determine if I put it up for sale.

Thanks for any opinions. Here's a picture, it's in great shape. Thanks for any insight you can provide!

    cutter,

If it's tight and as in good shape as it appears, I believe it'll fetch at least $450.00.

You may get 'more' for it in a trade. Let me know if you are interested in trading it..

    Wonderful looking gun.

    nice gun
I would say $450 is a fair guess, but you might do at least $50 better

I would not sell it myself for less than $450 if it were mine, but I likely would not pay more than $450 for it myself either, and only then if I could handle/inspect 1st person
(but I am not in the market for one, even though k-frames really are my woobie thing)

depends a whole lot on when/where/how sold
(your LGS or pawn broker will not give you what it is worth)

the extra grips and all are nice, but I wouldn't count on much of a price boost due to that
I honestly do hope you get a better price than I suggest, best of luck

I paid $530 including shipping and FFL fees in September 2009 for this 19-3 (1975)

450 is a good guess (maybe more since you are not in the US)

I strongly suggest that you do NOT sell it.

You will regret it if you do

    Stonecutter,

The fact that you don't use it today means nothing if you don't need the cash a sale would yield. You have a gun that, I believe, is appreciating.

Here's a trio of similar guns, only the 66 is a shooter, the other two are for my daughter to do with as she wishes when I depart this mortal firmament. I have zero doubt they will fetch a fair farthing for her.

As stated above and elswhere, "them fellers are right!"

    Hi, new to this forum!

There is a 19-7 4" in flawless condition at my LGS for $599. That's high for me - but then I already have a 686. If I wanted a really nice one, that would be the going price.
