S&W is making probably the best looking revolver I have ever seen; it is from the Performance Center and is a Model 327 with both Miculek and Hogue grips and interchangeable gold bead or fiber front sight. It holds 8 rounds on moon clips. It has a titanium cylinder, scandium frame and a special German barrel. It is really bragged up on the S&W website. I've collected S&W's for years but I think I am going to take the plunge again on this one. One is going to cost almost a $1000 plus tax. Have any of you owned one of these or have any comments about them? Thanks for the help.

I bought a 327 TRR8 a couple of weeks ago. I love it. Light, powerful and high cap :)

In keeping with the mall ninja look of the gun I'm putting a Trijicon Reflex sight on it.:p

Yeah, I'm thinking I might have to save up and get one of those bad boys. A modern, black, evil, hi-capacity assault pistol. Far cry from the old chestnut deep blue Registered Magnum huh?

I've read talk about it being ugly and all. :scrutiny:

Looks serious to me.

Very serious.

and fun too. :D

I just wish somebody made speedloaders for them. The moonclips are fine, but there's a dearth of good ways to carry moonclips.

You'd think S&W would start their own speedloader line. Cripes, they make everything else, from handcuffs to bicycles...yet they rely on HKS to make speedloaders for most of their guns!

Other than that...these eight-ballers are SORELY tempting me to get back into .357. I LOVE N-Frames, I LOVE 5" barreled N-Frames, and .357 would make for plenty cheap practice. And these guns are Performance Center, buttery smooth...
