Just picked up this beauty here in California. Not cheap but worth it. I am enjoying it bunches.

Now go to the AFT and get it classified as a short barreled rifle and then have a shoulder stock made for it that replaces the grips.

Then a peep sight to replace the notch rear adjustable sight and you then have one cool deer rifle!

Yes a pistol carbine.

Great looking model 629. With that barrel, it should be extremely accurate.

Hey, that's a great gun. There's something about the 4" models, the 6" models, but the 8 3/8" models really stand out, huh? Shoot it up...

Thanks. Went out today and got the girl dirty. We both liked it. Very accurate. In my hands hit steel plates out past couple hundred yards up to 50% of the time mostly 2 out of 6 hit the steel. Great shooter.

This is a S&W 629-1 made in the mid 80's. Yes 8 3/8 barrel.
