In his case, cylinders would not "expand" uniformly. He can most likely not use the caliper - instead he can "feel" the tight/loose spots on the gauge, both axially, and concentrically. He is looking for bulges rather than exact diameters.

Which would cause extracting issues, correct?

@Project355 I brought it to a local gun shop and gave it to the gunsmith to look at. He told me he didn’t see anything wrong with the gun at all. When I told him it took seven months to get the gun back from S&W due to Covid and them being backed up, he told me that that’s BS.. he sends guns to them and get them back in two weeks time. He said something must’ve happened on their end such as taking the gun apart and maybe losing a piece and having looking for it. I also told him that I found a cylinder online and asked him if he thought I should purchase it and he told me no need to, there’s nothing wrong with it except a slightly bent ejector rod which is causing the cylinder not to spin exactly as it should. I’m tending to agree with him because he could’ve easily tried to make money on me and didn’t. Also I’ve been hearing in the forums that Smith and Wesson customer service isn’t what it used to be.
