Is it anywhere else on a 4506 frame besides the left side? Have seen one on GB that doesn't show that one in pix; seem to recall it being elsewhere, but unsure where...

A quick look at mine, shows it only on the left side of the frame, as you mentioned.

I have a 4046tsw and it also has the ser# under the grip on the left side.I'm not too sure about the 45 series.
