I did a search over at TFL--but it kept on locking up on me.

What do the various dash numbers after the model number indicate?

I just bought a 66-5 with 3in barrel and Hi-Viz sights today and it got me wondering.

    Thanks.

Dash number indicates a change or modification made to a model. In the case of your 66-5, changes to the frame were made, eliminating the cylinder stop stud and serrated tang, addition of a MIM hammer and frame mounted firing pin. All done in 1998 model year.

Now you need to work on a name change. :p
