I have just adjusted my model 41 trigger lighter by one "notch" and now my gun "light strikes" the ammo case head. You can very faintly make out the fireing pin strike on the case head. Do the two have any relationship to each other? What say you?

Not that I can think off right off hand.

Other then the lighter pull may cause you to not completely follow through on the trigger squeeze like you were before, allowing the sear to drag on the hammer enough to slow it down.

It shouldn't though, unless someone has reduced the depth of the hammer notch at some point in time.

All I can suggest is, put it back where it was and see if that fixes it.

I think that is the answer, a common problem when people try to make a trigger pull too light.
