all you guys buying "sporting rifles"....

they just reported their numbers. said sales of sporting rifles were up 70%

pretty impressive! they reported on CNBC that it was on speculation that obama would implement gun bans if he gets reelected

Recall when his election sparked a run on guns and ammo causing shortages of everything (including primers)? If he does get re-elected... and I would bet $1,000 against it right now... certainly the gloves would be off and he would feel no restraint in pushing his socialist agenda. But he would need the Congress to help and he won't have that. The panic buying is for naught.

The grabbers must just be writhing the last few years when they see that stats on new purchases, and especially new gun owners, of which most are the direct result of their reputation. I almost want to thank them at times; They've unwittingly helped our cause more than they ever hurt it. Can anyone think of another presidential candidate who's bid caused such massive increases in gun sales?

(don't make me lock my own thread for degenerating into politics!)

the point is simply, S&W is selling AR15s like crazy. their price is apparently compelling and the demand is high.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if in a couple of years from now there are A LOT of really inexpensive, used AR's on the market.

Sales are up.....S&W bought down a good sized chunk of debt.....EPS was notably above analysts predictions......4th quarter report was impressive to say the least. My S&W stock jumped 20.54% today. :D

Not to mention they are delivering the best customer service and support in the industry.

You just can't go wrong with one IMHO. I've two one in 5.45x39, the other standard 5.56 never a bobble from either.
