Safely racking and locking back the slide on a Glock

I have tiny hands like the guy in the burger commercial, so it's just about impossible for me to point the gun forward and down, pull back the slide, and press the slide stop lever up with my thumb. I get very little leverage that way.

So with the mag and chamber empty, I'd been practicing unloading my Glock 26 where, seated, I first eject the mag and then with the gun almost perfeclty sideways and pointed diagonally down in my right hand, bring back the slide with the meat of my left hand and press up the slide stop lever with my right thumb. Doing that though, I noticed right away the gun is pointed at my inner left thigh; though my index finger is on the first groove of the grip, it's still probably not a good idea for safe firearm handling!

So my solution? I do the same exact stuff with my hands except standing up. Standing up, the gun is pointed diagonally downward at the floor. Is this an okay way to safely unload a Glock (or any pistol)?

Also, how would you recommend racking the slide with tiny hands?

The cool thing about a Beretta 92, a Walther PPK, or any gun with a slide mounted safety is that you can plant your thumb right on that safety, and it's a great leverage point for racking the slide.

In any case, I suggest you purchase yourself some hand strengtheners.
