I saw something up on classic arms I almost jumped on. A pretty saiga, 7.62, nice wood with a thumbhole stock. They were there monday, gone today....

They were priced at $300. And I can't find a price even near that for anything like it. Anyone know where these rifles can be had for a decent price?

I will be getting one, one way or the other, even if I have to have someone special order it. But I don't want to pay premium prices ($100+ what I have seen it for)

That's what I have been seeing, but classicarms usually has the best prices I can find on anything. I knew I should have ordered one. Maybe If I am really nice when I order some other stuff I can get a good deal.

Edit: It also may have disappeared because of a website update..... which is what I am hoping, a few things that were on there for a long time just disappeared too..... I would call him up right now but it's long distance and a cell phone isn't around.

Somebody here on the board was selling one with a bunch of ammo for a pretty spiffy price. Check the for sale board.

I have a .308 with plastic..went on Monday with the S12 and S410 and put about 80 rounds through it.My own Saiga collection has grown exceedingly in the last year as I really have a passion for them.

I have noticed the sudden price jump on Saigas also...

I have the 308 thumbhole stock saiga slant cut receiver. It feels good in hand, actualy feels like it has a shorter barrel because of the way it is balanced. It will remain stock configuration. Most I am going to do is possibly a better trigger and a polished black-blued finish.

the thumbhole stock style seems like it would work best for people who want to build a "saiganov." Then the slant cut receiver wouldn't matter, because you would be keeping the thumbhole stock anyway.

I wouldn't change a thing on that gun. I want it as is.

Will buy an arsenal ak soonish, but this I have been lusting over.

I SHOULD have dropped the cash the second I saw it..... But I was going to wait for a paycheck to buy some ammo with it
dumb move by me.

But seeing how fast they went gone, I am hoping classicarms will stock up again. Because even at $400 I would buy it. $500 get's iffy....

I'll have a .308 in black synthetic for sale as soon as my current deal is complete. I'm getting one with wood furniture.
200 rounds through it, no issues. $480 shipped.
