All I know is what I've read

To me Sakos are expensive, so they must have some redeeming attributes. Extreme accuracy is not their strongest virtue from all I've read. I'll probably never find out, since Remington 700s are GOOD enough for my accuracy purposes afield. cliffy

I have owned a Sako before, a model 75 in 7mm STW. It was a good rifle, but it only cost me about $800 when I bought it. Now Sakos are well over $1K due to the horrible exchange rate. For that kind of money I can think of a whole bunch of rifles I would rather own. Like maybe spend a couple hundred more and buy a new Cooper Model 52 or something like that.
