Greetings,

They say the serials do not match. Anyone got one and can talk a little bit about the gun if it is worth the premium over a straight bolt?

Thank you

Well, I've got a k98 mauser with a bent bolt. Should be a decent shooter even if the numbers don't match as long as the bore is good. Not having matching numbers will take away from the "collector value" of it. You might also want to check the head space if it doesn't have the original bolt. The only advantage of a bent bolt is if you are wanting to mount a scope. I wouldn't pay anymore for it unless you wanted a scope, how much are they asking anyways?

guns that have been modified (ex: cut down stock, bent bolt etc.) aren't worth as much as an original all matching rifle. I Have a M24/47 with all matching numbers and even though I've considered turning down the bolt, is currently in it's original state.

either way do yourself a favor and get one, hopefully with a bright bore. The are pretty accurate for a milsurp, and the price in the $120 to $200 depending is worth it IMO.

I just bought 2,shot one, results so far are promising with around a 2 inch group at 100yds.They feel good also, well balanced.

Most likely its just a M48 bolt that they just threw in from a parts bin. The M24/47 and M48 bolts are completely interchangable, the only difference is in a straight handle versus a bent one.
