    Where did you get the pic of the soldier?

    I'm curious about when it was taken. I like the M203 he's got tucked under the flap of his pack. I'm also curious if you have ever put your rig on a scale and weighed it?

    That Brit soldier looks to me like a holdover from the SAS of WW2 (aka the "Rat Patrol"). I recall a thread a while back where a couple of us turned a "tacticool" topic into that.:D

    Hey MJ, when'd they start issueing the L42A1? I'm thinking I heard it was some time in the 1960's.

    That is the M-79, nice bit of work. I could put a round in a window at 200 yards in my ill spent youth. And did! Now I'm luck if I can hit pee pot late at night.

    The picture was taken in Aden in the mid 1970's.

    In my defense I just finished reading "The Teams; An Oral History of the U.S. Navy SEALS" and had a brain fart. It seems like all of those guys loved the M203.
