It is a mom and pop and son operation and they work their butts off to accommodate their clients.
We were up at 3am every morning and in the fields with a new setup every morning before shooting time. We took limits of either geese or ducks every day we hunted. Only lacking a few birds of having the limit of both one day. We averaged 50 birds/4 hunters/day.
We shared the lodge with a great group of guys from Alabama who were there to bear hunt. They were all successful and tagged out early (4), then caught limits of walleye out of chitek lake for two days!

We only got done early one evening and enjoyed the campfire and a bottle of salted caramel bourbon, and shared hunting stories and pictures off our phones until late.View attachment 1170513
I will tell you brothers that central Saskatchewan is a sportsman's paradise. A great combination of farmland, provincial forests, and lakes. Elk. Moose, whitetail, mule deer. Bear, waterfowl, grouse.....and great fishing. View attachment 1170515
The entire team at DUCK DUCK GOOSE OUTFITTERS treated us like family. Their lodge is comfortable and clean. The food was excellent and timed to our schedule. Our game was processed , frozen, and packed in our coolers according to regulations and we breezed right through customs with our birds at the border.
I can't say enough praise for our outfitter. DUCK DUCK GOOSE OUTFITTERS.
According to a quick google search, ducks and snow geese spend the winter in the US and Mexico, which makes me question why US hunters come to Saskatchewan to hunt them.the few flocks of Snows that we saw in Saskatchewan were really high and southbound.
We have them like that here too. Enough birds to cover 40 acres.
When the migration is on, we can see flocks appearing in the northern horizon and flocks dissappear on the southern and flocks scattered in the sky in between.
It's incredible.
Gotcha, than makes perfect sense. Our home area isn't necessarily in the flyway....and we lack lakes to draw them down from their flights.
Saskatchewan has the first Cropland south of the tundra. They zlso have water to roost. It is a good play to decoy so.e birds in before they have been educated and shot at.
Summer's over then. The snow geese are on the move today.
