I have read a good deal of posts concerning the cleaning of a Colt Combat Commander with a Satin Nickel (electroless) finish. Alas, I have not heard anything definitive that will work to brighten the finish without harming the nickel finish. I plan to use FP10 to clean, lube and protect. But can I use Flitz as I do on stainless, and to a certain extent on blued finishes. Pro-shot Lead Clean Cloth says it is ok for nickel as well as stainless, but that is the label, not first hand experience, and does not refer to satin electroless finish.
Does anyone know for sure what is awesome and what is awful for this finish??
Thanks in advance, BOB
Hope this is right place for this thread.
