savage 116 .375h&h info

hey guys,

i have a savage 116 .375h&h here. SS with synthetic stock, 20" barrel, with open sights and serial# G486456. its very similar to the .375ruger alaskan they offer now. I'm just having trouble finding info on this. i was going to email Savage but i couldn't find an email address on their website. i guess I'm just wondering how many were made, when they were made, and how much do you think its worth? and any other info you guys have on it. its topped with a leupold 3-9x40 and SS leupold rings and base.

I have one with a wood stock (safari model). It's a robust if heavy rifle. Leupold is great glass and would make a fine rifle for all manner of game.

Found one on guns America w/accutrigger, irons but without glass, NIB buy it price was $759 + $25 shipping. Add value of $200 for the scope and I'd insure it for a grand. You might not be able to sell it for that much, but if you had to replace it thats the kind of $$ you are looking at.

i should have mentioned it does not have an accu trigger. I'm not sure how that will affect the price. also, i will not have access to a telephone till the 4th of july, so i just figured i would ask you guys for now.
