i am looking to pickup a new .22lr bolt action and have been considering the savage mk2-lv. it features a heavy barrel that is free floated in a laminated stock.

if anyone has shot one of these i would like to hear your opinion on this rifle.

    thanks

I had one for a while but traded it off for something... Mine was accurate enough, not a tack driver but the trigger was pretty rough. Very rough, really. I didn't want to invest the time or money in getting it fixed or trying to do so myself.

If the trigger was better/fixed, there's a lot to recommend it. Nice heavy barrel, laminated stock that was properly floated.

I havent shot that particular Savage, but in general and as much as i love my Remington 597,Savage makes a hell of a rifle at a great price.I have two .22lr's and theyre GREAT rifles!

What firestar said, get a CZ-452. Unless you can afford an Anschutz...

    I have to second CRATZ2.

They are nice rifles, but the trigger is the weak link.
