I'm pretty set on a Savage Edge in .270 from probably walmart. I like the ergonomics and handling and the detachable magazine, however the stock is too light for my liking, what can I put inside the stock to give it a little more heft?

You could try adding lead shot too it. I have never added weight to a stock but I know custom stocks come with specialized weights. I suppose you could remove the recoil pad, drill some holes in the back of the stock, add lead shot and fill the whole back up with something like JB Weld. Then put the recoil pad back on. It might be a tad heavier in the back then though.

Might look into that, I kinda want the back heavier. Thanks
