I can't speak to the Rifle Basix triggers, but I've been happy with the Apachee trigger kit I bought for my Mark II.

does yours currently have an accutrigger with the little blade in the center of the trigger? If not you need the first link. If you do have an accutrigger already then you just need to adjust it down. The accutriggers Mark 2's will easily go down to just a couple ounces with just changing the springs.

no accu trigger. this rifle is the dicks sporting goods special with wood stock, cheap scope and crappy trigger.

what exactly does the first link do?

It just a replacement sear, which is the part that the trigger bears against. The main difference is that it will allow you to adjust the spring pressure which changes the trigger pull weight, and also has a screw to adjust the amount of sear engagement which will adjust the amount of creep, as well as slightly changing the trigger pull weight.

You can accomplish the same thing with a trigger job but if your not into doing such things just buy the kit and follow the instructions.

I was going to do the job linked below but didn't want to mess something up. I figured pay the $100 and get the right thing. Id guess its about 6lbs now and id like to get it at about 2lbs.
