I have a Savage MKII GXP .22lr and its very accurate and I like it alot, however the scope it came with is a bit shady and seems to slowly lose its zero.

I was thinking about getting this one to replace it, is it a good magnification and what not for a rimfire? I don't know a whole lot about riflescopes, also I know it has the dovetail grooves in the receiver, it's not drilled and tapped so which rings would work for that scope/rifle combo?

The nikoplex reticle obviously because the BDC would be stupid on a .22LR

What are you doing with the rifle? I shoot my Savage MKII at 100 yards, didn't want a spotting scope to see the holes, and put a 6-25x56mm Millett on there.

Then again, my Ruger 10/22 has been made as light and handy as possible. I put a low-seated red dot on there and it's great at 25 yards and useful to 50.
