Savage model 300 in 30 06 ?

Never heard of such, but a friends uncle claims he saw one and wants me to find one. Only refrence I can find is the Savage Stevens 300 which is 22 rimfire.Any help will be greatly appreciated, as this old man is pretty cool guy, so I will do my best to find him one if it does exist. Savage makes a Stevens model 200 chambered in 30-06 as well as many others. Bet this is what he saw.

Additionally, Savage does make the "Stevens 300", bit it is a .22LR.

I just noticed in your original post that you mentioned the 300 being .22LR. Sorry to restate the stated obvious w/out reading everything first. HAHA

No problem thanks for reply!!! This paticular gentleman is allways right, even when he is wrong he will come out on top!! Cool ole man though fer sure!! Now that we got it figgered out we will find him what he wants. No need to try to change his mind, thats what he wants and thats what we will get for him. Like I said earlier, some "OLD FOLKS", well you know what I mean. Hopefully one day I'll make that status!!
