One of the local gunshops had a beautiful S&W Model 27-2 for sale. Had an 8 3/8" barrel and target grips. Lock-up was excellent and timing spot on, trigger felt smooth and slick. Looked to be fired little, no erosion on the top strap or cylinder face. There were some minor blemishes on the finish of the cylinder and frame though (left in a drawer on it's side?). If it was a 4" version, you would be reading this as an "I brought home a new-to-me" story.

PM if you want the shop's name and location. I'm sure they would be happy to sell it...

they are dropping from the highs seen a couple years ago,,what was $850 is now $699, and still laying there..

Personally, I haven't seen a decline in Smith & Wesson 27-2 prices, here in
my area of North America. If anything, they are scarce as hens teeth and
very pricey; often times starting out in the $750'ish range. Especially ones
that have a 3.5" barrel, and in UNFIRED condition~! ;) :uhoh:
