Scat ID: Hog?

Hey all,
After reading Flints thread on Hogs, and the fact that a hog was recently taken in my county I did a brief survey of my property this morning. Didn't want to further hijack that thread, so here goes:
Found the usual coon scat, trees picket by deer, deer tracks and scat, coyote scat, and this pile that I am having trouble ID'ing


On a walk a few months back my wife and I discovered a trail of tracks that pretty closely match the pictures of hog tracks I have seen. Seemed too rounded and separated to be deer.

Any ideas?

Looks human to me. The lighter is a dead give away. Any paper nearby?

Depending on their diet it can vary quite a bit but that looks like a good candidate to me. Also have a good look at the trees near the trail and see if they have been used as a scratching post. Normally they will pick a couple to rub on usually pine in my area. The heidt of the rubs will give you an idea of the size of the hogs.
Yes hog tracks tend to be more rounded than deer tracks. Another dead giveaway is the spacing of the tracks. Though I've seen some longer legged hogs most tend to have much shorter legs than deer. In most cases when you see a track almost within another track it is a walking deer seldom will you see a hog with legs long enough to make a double track in this fashion.
I am only experienced in my area of the country so I'm sure some sign will differ but some will be pretty consistant regardless of where you are in the country.

Its no "hijack" of the thread Pastor, in fact the thread is there to share/exchange information with everyone, not a thread for ME alone.

I am getting ready to go hunting right now, running behind...but I can post some examples of hog scat later tonight when I get back (also of some tracks...if you like).

As already mentioned...hog scat can vary greatly in appearance...owing to what has been eaten.

Damn you HammerKlavier.... Now my dogs want to know whats so funny that I cant stop laughing.

And yes my guess is a hog, although the lighter does say human as well.

Whatever it was..it was big enough to "pass" a lighter, we know that much.
