the bolt handle on my cz gently rubs the bottom of my scope when i slide it back. is there a simple way of fixing this so the bolt handle or bottom of scope won't get worn? i've got the scope all the way back, works, but feels a little wierd.

    Two options --

    1. Buy higher rings.

    2. Take the rifle to a gunsmith and have him grind down the top of the bolt handle so it doesn't touch the scope. He'll have to reblue the handle when he's done grinding.

What kind of rings are you using? If standard, as krochus states and if you do not want to mod the bolt handle, get higher rings. If it is Weaver or 1913 and the scope and handle are barely touching, you can shim the bottom of the rings.

well, the rings are standard, and it's barely touching. they're medium height. are weavers or 1913 a little taller than the standard rings?

    Modified Bolt Handle

527 CZ rifles require proprietary scope rings. Midway sells rings made by several companies to fit CZ.
James Calhoon sells a modified bolt handle.

This is one thing that I don't understand. CZ has to know this is one of the biggest complaints with their rifles, and they don't seem to do anything about it.

Yup. The proprietary CZ tall rings for my 527 cost me almost $50.

I use Leupold medium rings and I have no issues with my Nikon 2-7x32. It's close, but it doesn't touch.

Same experience here with medium Millet rings and a 2-7x Leupold.

Same here: 452 American, Leupold 2-7, cheap Aluminum (Millet?) medium rings--barely misses.
