I have a Single Six and was wondering if anybody knows of a scope mount for one of these. I do not see that it could be easily done, but that does not mean that someone smarter than me has figured it out. I really have a hankering for a scoped .22 pistol, but cannot buy a new one right now.

Thanks.

WEIGAND COMBAT:
RUGER SINGLE SIX - No-drill, no-tap mount attaches to frame at the rear sight screw. Contoured recoil lug fits in rear sight slot to prevent movement. Accepts Weaver-style rings. Use on .22 LR only, not for use on .32 Magnum guns.

ATK/BLOUNT:
Compact, lightweight, mounts use existing holes for simple, do-it-yourself scope mounting. Everything needed is supplied; just- add your scope.

A double thanks from me! I've been thinking about this on and off for awhile now.

The guy at the gunshop told me it'd need to be drilled and tapped.

I have the Weigand Combat mount on my Single Six to hold a cheapie BSA red dot and it works great. You simply remove the rear sight and use the supplied screw to attach the mount using the same hole. Another screw at the forward part of the mount is used as a set screw to stiffen the mount up. Took me all of 5 minutes to remove the sight and install the mount and red dot.

When you attach the mount, use a small dab of Loctite BLUE to keep the screws from coming loose. DO NOT use the RED Loctite as it needs heat to break the material loose should you ever need to remove the mount

You can order directly from Weigand Combat for the same price and shipping is $4.75. www.weigandcombat.com Jack is an excellent person to deal with and his customver service is the best.
